Friends of the Children–Lane County partners with youth and families facing a path strewn with hurdles most of us will never have to face. Friends of the Children helps those families overcome these obstacles by providing families with a professional mentor from the time the youth is 4-6 years old until they graduate high school– 12+ years, no matter what! This level of support is what it takes to ensure that all kids can get to the starting line. Learn more about how you can get involved with Friends of the Children–Lane County. KidSports KIDSPORTS mission is simple "all kids play." Research shows that children who participate in sports and regular physical activity get better grades, stay in school longer, and are more likely to stay active and healthy for their entire lifetime. Active healthy kids become healthy adults who in turn make for active healthy communities. That's something we can get behind. In addition to creating opportunities to play for almost 4,000 children last year, KIDSPORTS teaches coaches how to build children up and emphasizes the joyful elements of sports. All Kids Play.
