October 06, 2021 First Eaton Family-Athlon for Good - Incredible On August 21st, one-hundred and twenty-eight youth had the experience of a lifetime. Ashton and Brianne Eaton hosted their first Eaton Family-Athlon for good to benefit local youth serving organizations, including Friends of the Children - Lane County and KIDSPORTS. The Eaton family brought together a host of partner organizations to help coordinate the event including Track Town USA, the US Track and Field Association and the beneficiary organizations. Youth had the opportunity to rotate through seven track-inspired stations that emphasized the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing while being coached by Ashton and Brianne and other world class athletes and volunteers. “It was amazing to pull off such a safe and inspirational event this year,” said Jeannine Erving of Track Town USA “Having the Eaton’s committed to helping give back to this community and inspire future athletes is a wonderful gift. We're hoping this an event we can look forward to year after year.” The event benefitted tremendously from the contributions of community volunteers, including several Olympians and staff from USA Track and Field's RunJumpThrow program. The event was the first youth event in the new Hayward Field at the University of Oregon and the kids and parents had it to themselves before the crowds started pouring in for the Prefontaine Classic later in the day. Participants also received a ticket to the professional event.
