Professionally, Jillian works in Educational & Children Book Illustration, Graphic Design, Photography, Creative Project Direction and as a Professional Mentor.
A passion for visual storytelling and as a fierce defender of children, led Jillian to RISD. Her thesis: "Purposeful Play and the Art of Deeply Noticing" and "Dream Traveler", were researched and developed to illustrate a collaborative experience using art and narrative to guide youth toward self-empowerment, curiosity and autonomy.
Described as a "Mischievous Mary Poppins", which she believes translates to; She is very playful but has yet to ever miss a deadline. With a passion for Purposeful Play, Jillian weaves special connections with humans of all ages/walks of life and has been developing unique methods + tools to connect and co-create with children on their level.
A long-time dubbed "child whisperer" who loves to disrupt-disruption positively, Jillian is a firm believer that all children should be seen and heard... Often!
