Staff: Jesse Hubbe

Jesse joined Friends of The Children Lane County in September 2024. He Grew up in Eugene and is passionate about working with and supporting youth in Lane County. Prior to working with Friends of The Children, Jesse worked at River Road Elementary/Camino Del Rio, where he was an educational assistant in a kindergarten class for 1 year, and an educational assistant in Special Education for two years. There he had the opportunity to utilize his bilingualism, working with children from diverse backgrounds. While working at the school, Jesse was struck by how meaningful and impactful one on one support can be in the lives of kids. In addition to his work at River Road Elementary, Jesse has led and assisted various outdoor summer day camps with Nearby Nature, from Camp Cook Off, to Adventura en el jardin. In his role as a Professional Mentor with Friends of the Children Lane County Jesse is honored to have the opportunity to play a consistent role in the lives of youth. He is especially excited to support youth in positive relationship building and in finding and pursuing their passions.

Jesse loves playing basketball, cooking and eating with family and friends, and spending time outside and around plants.
