Staff: Daysha Denight

Daysha Denight joined Friends Lane County in December 2021. Daysha brings a great combination of work and lived experience to her new role as a Professional Mentor – Friend. When starting at University of Oregon, she worked towards a degree in Human Physiology in hopes of becoming a physical therapist. After working as a Camp Counselor with Duck Trails and a Tutor with BEST Afterschool Program, she found a love of caring for children and watching them grow. She switched gears and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Educational Foundations in June 2021. Daysha is very excited be a friend to kids, to help them set academic, social, and emotional goals for themselves, and witness them achieve those goals. When not working, Daysha enjoys traveling with her partner, spending time with her dog and cat, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.
